This homemade costume for women entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Monica, the 'La Muerta' costume creator:
I am wearing the costume of La Muerta from the movie "The Book of Life".
I made the hat from a smaller hat, poster board & paper mache. I hot glued flowers, skulls, feathers & candles to the top & used fishing line, hot glue & lace to attach the skulls to the brim.
The dress was from Coldwater Creek & I hot glued flowers & skulls to it, cut the sleeves & sewed white trim to the ends to match the characters.
